| 630294 | 2008-01-14 22:08:00 | I have my daughters laptop here, running IE and windows XP. It crashes after half an hour, or immediately its turned on. With or without power connected .. on battery or ac. Can ye help me ? |

If not, rt click My Computer/Properties/Advanced/Startup recovery and uncheck Automatically restart. You should now get a BSOD (unless the cpu stops because of a hardware failure). Could be a hard one if it's a hardware issue. If it runs for a while, run a memory tester e.g. from here www.memtest86.com And get the log to Speedy! |

| 630301 | 2008-01-14 23:02:00 | The whole lappy powers off? Or just the screen. If it's the former, it quite possibly is overheating. Check in the BIOS and look for temps, otherwise download and install this (http://www.hmonitor.net/) app and see what the CPU temps are getting up to. |
