2008-01-13 22:25:00 | Guys, are there any PCI TV cards or USB adaptors that cover Analogue, plus Satellite digital, plus Terrestrial Digital, plus Normal and Satellite FM Radio? The Package Deal one might say. :D There seems to be any amount of cards but I cant find one that does everything.

2008-01-13 22:40:00 | The Hauppauge HVR-3000 will do all those. The HVR-4000 will also plus it does DVB-S2 but NZ probably won't have that for a few years yet. I have only seen DVB-T on USB TV Tuners.

2008-01-13 23:24:00 | The bundles software is not yet working properly in New Zealand on the two Hauppage cards, but there are quite a few alternatives that can locate our Optus D1 satellite. | Bantu (52) | |
2008-01-14 03:34:00 | Could you elaborate a little please Bantu? Are you saying the Hauppauge HVR-3000 card is fine but the bundled software wont work in NZ? I guess the next question is can you get this card to work at all in NZ or say Aus? If so, how? :D

2008-01-14 04:00:00 | Mediaportal is Open Source software (free) The links work for me. If they don't work for you then do a search on Mediaportal on this forum as there is quite an extensive thread on this subject. There is also a Forum on Cyberlink cyberlink.com regarding trying to get the packaged software "Cyberlink Power Cimema" working with the Hauppage card IN NEW ZEALAND. Also on the Hauppage forum hauppage.co.uk there is a section on the same with a couple of patches which did not get a working result. http://mcraenz.googlepages.com/ - Great Info and Tutorial forum.team-mediaportal.com Or search for a HUGE thread on New Zealand on forum.team-mediaportal's forum. It has a heap of info on it.
