| 629823 | 2008-01-12 22:03:00 | I wonder if I EVER get a dual-booted system up and running again, if CCleaner will harm the file/partition that isn't being used at the moment. Suppose it's this way: I somehow get UBUNTU and XP on one HDD...when I am running XP will CCleaner see UBUNTU as garbage, just taking up HDD space and try to remove/clean it? Three guesses what I am trying here... #1....self-trepanation #2....replacing nuclear fuel rods in Chernobyl #3....Installing XP where UBUNTU already exists on a separate partition. |

| 629824 | 2008-01-12 22:42:00 | I doubt ccleaner will see Ubuntu. You may get both on the hdd. It'd still have a partition tho If Windows cant see the partition once u make one for Ubuntu ccleaner wont either. |

I went to My Computer, R/C>>Manage and it sees the partition OK....Well...time wounds all heels. |

From within My computer Once its formatted in ext3 , or whatever format Linux formats the hdd in. Unless you've got a program that can access the partition. I've pretty sure when I had Ubuntu on the spare hdd on this, it didnt even show in My Computer. |

| 629827 | 2008-01-13 02:01:00 | CCleaner looks at specific WIndows folders and bits of the registry. All of them, including CCleaner are so cautious they are almost pointless. It certainly does nothing at all with partitions. |
