I need to repair the windows/system32/Config/system file on a compaq presario C300 laptop. The problem is I dont have the windows installation disk and cant borrow one. I also cant press F11 and perform a sytem recovery because I need data of the computer. The OS is Windows XP Home with SP2. |

If you haven't got the equipment or can't borrow it then you'll have to take it to a tech. |

so do what most of us 'smart' techs do ......image the drive before you start fiddling around then you can do whatever you want to the original..... |
