| 631241 | 2008-01-17 12:40:00 | I jsut recently built my own computer, I noticed that in Everest Home my CPU Core #1 is never used, only core #2. My CPU is an AMD Athlon64 X2 4200+, with original heatsink. This is Windows XP SP2 (Vista style skin) Picture of problem (img99.imageshack.us) I'm wondering whether this is a problem. Thanks :D |

No I didn't install the patch, where do I get it from? Acording to you signature you have the same GFX card as me. When you run a game, do you find the rest of the system slows down dramatically? |

The ATI card I have is no good for games, especially with my native res 1650x1050. It was supposed to be just a temporary card until the rebuild, however the upgrade has taken a back seat to the Plasma TV, Digi-Cam & PS2..LOL. I now need to sell the 2nd house before I can go near the PC upgrade path!! |

| 631250 | 2008-01-17 19:49:00 | It's just I've NEVER seen it do anything. Maybe you haven't given it sufficient hard enough work to do. ;) Try doing something that makes the CPU work hard, such as video encoding. If you haven't got anything to encode there are programs that will give the CPU a workout but I don't know of one to recommend at the moment. |
