| 630632 | 2008-01-16 02:30:00 | ever since getting my new Linksys Modem/Router I have a slightly annoying probelm. pages often do not load and I get the old "Internet Explorer cannot display this page" or in Firefox give a 'server not found'. In both cases the page always then loads using refresh. however, when trying to fill in forms etc online this can be very tedious! I am thinking it has some sort of sensitivity to page loading times or something? sorry, not a very techy way of putting it, but that's what F1 is for eh? all suggestions gratefully received. cheers |

Try another modem/router and see if it changes. If there is no change it could be a number of factors, at this point it is best to ring your ISP. If it works fine with another modem/router do a factory reset on the router (a small reset button you can press with a pin) and reconfigure it, double check your settings. |

| 630636 | 2008-01-16 23:34:00 | How do you have your DNS details for the PCs connected to the modem setup? Are they using the modem as the DNS server or your ISPs DNS servers? Most linksys router / modems have problems with DNS forwarding that can lead to lots of problems. So if not try putting your ISPs DNS settings on your PCs manually and see if that fixes the problem. |
