| 631261 | 2008-01-17 22:23:00 | You're surprised? Its because there is stuff-all that actually uses 2 cores, so 99.99% of the time one is sitting there in the waiting room with a magazine. Just think of all the quad-core owners - they have 3 of them doing nothing. Using AMD X2, WXP. Looking at task manager from time to time, I have often been pleasantly surprised to see both cores in use. Have wondered about it. Playing an AVI movie file, for instance, task manager shows about 20% usage for one core, and about 30% for the other. |
