631060 2008-01-18 13:44:00 After looking at my driver it seems that i have a unique version for my card.

I think my card is more software based rather than the latest XFI's which are hardware.

631061 2008-01-19 03:05:00 Hmm that is strange.

I will download it again and have another look.

And yes i used win-rar.

The drivers your talking about in the second part are they generic XFI drivers? as the ones i download for my Extreme Audio dont have the wdm folder.

They dont have the same file name as my XFI drivers (DLed yesterday from creative)

Edit: Where did you get that download from? I cant find anything like it on the creative site.

Hi, I got them from the US creative labs download page ( us.creative.com )

I guess before we go any further, are you using 32 bit Vista?

I think I misinterpreted the particular xfi extreme you have, in which case you may quite rightly not have the drivers sub folder. You may want to try installing the driver I linked to, even though it's for the gamer version of the card, if not have a look through the inf files you have for your drivers, the string to change may well be present, but not in the same inf file as the instructions. What you are trying to achieve is the enhancements tab in the audio properties so you can enable bass management.
