| 631905 | 2008-01-19 22:51:00 | I've just started having a problem with my cursor and keyboard freezing up when I get on the web. (I have a 4 year old Dell, running XP). I get to my home page fine, but a second or two later, it's as if the computer doesn't recognize either trackball or the keyboard - the only way out is the reset button. (I've had the same problem using both IE and Firefox). Can anyone help? I'm not a super techie, but I'm the expert in the house -if I can't solve it, I'll have to call in the geek squad. | annapolitan (13303) | ||

First clean the system --- Download from my sig, spybot, Spyware Doc and Ccleaner, install, update, run programs. Also download Super Antispyware (www.superantispyware.com). (free version) Also download HijackThis (www.trendsecure.com) Save it to a separate folder on the desktop, run it, and select it to save a log file. Copy that log file and post it back here, someone can look through it and advice. What Anti virus are you running as well please ? |
