2008-01-19 10:21:00 | In Outlook 2003 it was easy to save an image that was included. Just right-click on the image and the save-to command came up tomexecute and save the image. For some (stupid) reason this is no longer the case in Outlook 2007 and the Microsoft website is aware of it. they propose some complex procedure to save the file over an external graph program. I think this is ridiculous and they should bring it back with the next update. Does anybody have this problem too and found a good way to work around it ? Cheers Johan

2008-01-19 10:46:00 | Within Outlook, select the email message that contains the attachments. Click File, point to Save Attachments, and click All Attachments. The Save All Attachments window will appear where you can pick the attachments you want to save (use the CTRL button to select multiple attachments). Click OK. Browse to the folder where you want to save all the attachments and click OK.

2008-01-19 11:03:00 | Thanks for that, Safari, but that is something else. That is when the pics are attached to the email. Not when they are embedded as part of the email (in HTML). In Outlook 2003 one could right-click on such an item and then save-as would pop up. This is no longer the case. Microsoft has recognised the problem and published it on their website under KB917120, but I wish they would just do something about it!! | hotkiwi (6379) | |

2008-01-20 00:16:00 | Presumably you are receiving email in html format? If so save the message to a convenient location, open same in Firefox and right click on Image. Ask your sender to use attachments for graphics.

2008-01-21 04:55:00 | What happens when you try as advised in post 7 ? The Vista I used just had Office 2007 installed, unpatched - no SP1 and worked perfectly. Example of Test Email (www.imagef1.net.nz) Embedded picture / right click / Select Copy/ paste to location

2008-01-21 08:18:00 | Cheers Wainuitech, that works well, albeit a little cumbersome if the mail has many embedded pics. Will try to mark them all and then copy/paste. Cheers Johan
