The Laptop has to be wireless capable, some have a wireless point built in others need a additional card or USB Adapter point plugged in. 2. A wireless router, which has a access point attached., or a access point attached to your current router. If you need to purchase a wireless Access point, its usually better to purchase a whole new wireless modem/router in one for around the same price. All software is usually included with devices if required. We have a broadband connection What type of broadband connection do you have - ADSL (through the telephone line) or Telstras cable ? And what modem/router do you currently have ? |

| 631500 | 2008-01-18 20:38:00 | This is in a retirement village apartment with a rj45 socket in the wall, adsl no doubt. The modem will no doubt be in the main office so I assume that I do not need a modem, just a wireless router. Is this correct? | arjay (1202) | ||

The arrow on the Picture Shown Here (www.imagef1.net.nz) plugs into the RJ45 Wall Plug Via a patch cable. Any other Wired PC's plug into the other plugs, and wireless activated / adjusted etc. ADSL routers have a different plug that the phone line connects to - this is NOT what you want. |
