631388 2008-01-18 02:21:00 My mouse doesn't work properly. Problem only started happening recently. Sometimes whenever I click on something nothing happens, it's like i've never clicked it. Eg. sometimes double click won't work, i'll need to triple or quadriple click, or if i'm changing tabs, i usually click the one i want to change to, well now i gotta click a couple/ maybe more or less times...don't know what the problem is here. Is my mouse stuffed? Any help would be great. Thanks

p.s. Computer is running Windows XP SP2, mouse is a Microsoft Optical mouse connected via USB.

631389 2008-01-18 02:28:00 It's probably the mouse. Try a different mouse and see if the problem persists. have you been playing games like age of empires? Gaurnteed to shorten the life of your mouse buttons... :p

If you can be stuffed, you could pull it apart and check for dust and crap under the buttons. New mouse is like $15, no huge issue! :p

631390 2008-01-18 02:33:00 Lol well it has been 3 years...but shouldn't a mouse last way longer? No AOE, i've played Warcraft 3 for a while like a 2-3 months and thats about all the strategy games i've played. Also I actually spent $60 on this one :S Would rather prefer a decent mouse than a generic one... EviLClouD (12981)
631391 2008-01-18 02:35:00 Some last longer, I have a M$ mouse and I love it - but it's my third over 4 years. They are nice, but don't last as well as the Logitechs etc. Get a Logitech G5 if you can afford it. That's my next buy. wratterus (105)

I've had one here that lasted 1 week. Same symptoms. Piece of junk it was too.
I put it in the bin where it belongs and replaced it with a logitech.

Not even worth having rubbish in the workshop......
