| 631547 | 2008-01-20 10:19:00 | I would get either of these from www.pricespy.co.nz Seeing as you are not buying a sound card you can get a better graphics card which is a better buy for playing the new good games. Geforce 8800 GT, 512MB, PCI Express $370.13 GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB, (G92) PCI Express $482.63 They waste the 8600GT hands down. |

| 631548 | 2008-01-20 20:11:00 | you can probably get a decent motherboard for your current equipment for about $160. i have a similar setup and am using the K8-SLI board from albatron. I didn't usually trust albatron (usually went for ASUS) but it's been good to me so far :) | Jimmy D (2061) | ||
| 631549 | 2008-01-20 21:55:00 | Nothing wrong with AMD, but intel are winning the performance war at the moment. I would suggest pricing up a E6750 cpu and ASUS P5K MB and comparing it. performance is slighlty better, they run cooler, use less power, and don't cost that much. Check some cpu benchmarks you'll see why AMD are struggling right now |

| 631550 | 2008-01-21 00:47:00 | Try using Asus P5B Deluxe/Wifi-AP this is one of my favourite M/B from Asus. Includes WIfi !! xD One more tip: If your building computer to play games rather than watching, surfing web.Spend more money on the Graphic Card rather than the CPU. e.g. 2.4 GHZ 1 GB RAM -7600GT -Better 3.0 GHZ 1 GB RAM- 6600GT -Lags. |
