| 632952 | 2008-01-23 01:00:00 | Im trying to find a program to keep track of all my passwords, because i sign up to way too many sites to remember. I did once have an IIS password program but i cant remember where to get it from. Does anyone know what im talking about? or know any good free programs to store the passwords | aidanmaz (7180) | ||

| 632954 | 2008-01-23 01:13:00 | You could set yourself up a data base for them. I learned the hard way to print a copy. I mostly use a 3B1 notebook. It's almost falling to bits now. It's been useful when husband (who doesn't need one...yeah right) :rolleyes: can't remember one for a site we both use. cheers, Marnie |

Put them all in an HTML file, save as a webpage to a folder and put a shortcut in the toolbar folder. That means its always only a click away when browsing. Cheers Francis |

| 632957 | 2008-01-23 02:56:00 | I have been using Password Safe http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/ for storing all my passwords for various sites, and password protected Word documents, etc. It generates random passwords for you too, the sort of passwords you are supposed to use instead of proper words ;) The only password you need to remember is the master password to open the safe. Naturally the safe file is encrypted, so it's pretty secure. I keep multiple copies of the safe file as backups, so I don't need to print anything out. | Rod J (451) | ||

I store passwords and other sensitive information in it. http://keepass.sourceforge.net/ KeePass was the best of a bunch that I tried. It is easily transportable. It doesn't require a Windows Installation to use it. This means you can have it on a USB drive and just use it anywhere. |
