| 632879 | 2008-01-22 22:51:00 | hey guys and gals im new to this and am not much of a computer genius, but would appreciate your help if anyone can. we have been making a movie using windows movie maker trhe movie was at a completed stage when my pc froze and then turned itself off, when we logged back in the movie was still there but most of the music tracks had red 'x' all through it saying the computer could not identify the tracks i would love to know if there is anything to be done to undo whatever has happened. would love the help guys newbie1 |

| 632880 | 2008-01-23 03:33:00 | If you used Movie maker to capture DV from a Tape camera then Movie Maker would have asked what directory and format you wanted to store the captured Video in the first place. The ultimate capture format for the PC is to use "Other Settings" and scroll to DV-AVI (PAL) anything less than that is of lesser quality. The folder you choose to store it upon capture will be where it still is unless you deleted it. If it is another format then Movie Maker might or might not recognise it depending on what codecs you have installed on your PC. IF Movie Maker can read that original footage you might be able to re-build your movie in Movie Maker. |
