2008-01-23 05:05:00 | Ok all - it looks like it will be Asus for me. Looking at Belarc I'm told I have a Gigabyte K8m800-8237 motherboard, but when I drag out the manual I actually have a K8 Triton series GA-K8VT800 (how confusing is that!). But now when I peer at the picture on the front of the manual - there clearly is Gigabyte mentioned. I think (by looking at the manual) it is SATA compatible. Am I right do you think? And, by the way, I have appreciated all comment. Thanks for that. :)

The 2nd one depending on the revision. As it looks like there's more than one version/revision of the GA-K8VT800 |

2008-01-23 05:15:00 | The Manual says it has - but what do they look like in the raw?! I prefer not to go inside the box but watch anxiously while my non-computer interested electronic serviceperson husband does - so I like to know in theory what he is doing... | R.M. (561) | |
2008-01-23 05:19:00 | The 2nd one the SATA connections are the Red slots on the bottom of the motherboard (www.gigabyte.com.tw) In this picture. Click on enlarge view. You cant miss it, it says SATA.

2008-01-23 05:28:00 | No prob. If you brought this mobo, it should have come with one of These (www.dse.co.nz) Thats the cable for a SATA hdd. Thats what you plug into the SATA connectors on the mobo. And maybe one of these (www.dse.co.nz) For the power. Which are useless. If your PSU has a SATA power adapter on it, use that instead.
