632988 2008-01-23 01:45:00 Hi all

I'm using Virtual PC 2007 to run several older versions of Windows. If I create a 'blank' ISO image, can I make it 'writable' by the VM? (emulating a blank CD). I want to have a fully functional ISO image at the end of the process.

Is this possible? Its a pain having to export the data from the VM to write it to a CD.

All help appreciated :)

632989 2008-01-23 02:08:00 That's way too complicated. Just use folder2iso (www.trustfm.net) on the guest OS. There's more chance of support for this on an old OS than driver support for a virtual disc in a virtual drive. sal (67)

interesting........but.....why not just install 'virtual machine additions' and then you can 'capture' a 'real' cd drive and write direct to it assuming you have nero or deepburner or whatever you prefer installed on the vm......
