1423128 2016-07-15 06:11:00 Wainuitech, I am having trouble opening my backup image of win7 in win10. I presumed I should be able to click on the DiskImage ADI File and it would open but no such luck.

What program should I use to open it so I can restore from the Backup Image please. I did initially have some success but I can't seem to get it going again. Any clues.?

1423129 2016-07-15 07:31:00 If you made it with Active you need Active to open it again gary67 (56)
1423130 2016-07-15 07:50:00 I have reinstalled Active but don't seem to be able to open the Image. Wonder what I am doing wrong. I need some help me thinks. I did it one occasion so it's working but I haven't been able to do so again. Pato (2463)

1423132 2016-07-16 06:17:00 I've just upgraded mine from 5.0.2, that version had an Explore Image icon, does that work? The newer versions can mount the image. Renegade (16270)

I have downloaded the trial version and understand that it is free for 21 days only. How long ago did you create your image?

Anyways -- From Experience if you have made an image from a certain version of Active @ you have to use the same version of program to open it.

Many times I've made images from one version via the bootable CD and then forgot which and they wont open on another version. Assuming you have it correct version, all you should have to do is one of two things - 1. Either open the Program, select Explore Image - navigate to where ever it is and select it - open.

( hint) sometimes I've found if the image is on a external HDD they dont read to good,so you have to copy the image from the External HDD to the actual PC, then they open.
2. Same as above but simply double click the saved image.

Other times you may have to have another blank HDD, and drop the image back onto the drive and then slave that drive to copy what ever it is you want.

Only other times I've personally had problems is if the image is corrupted somehow, BUT it normally would pop up a message saying such.
