| 1422940 | 2016-07-11 09:22:00 | My brother's Samsung S3 Mini died and the data, importantly phone contacts, seem unrecoverable. The plonker bought another S3, but has no idea how to recover the data. Is it possible? The data was saved to his phone, not the SIM nor the SD card. I reckon it's possible but hope to suggest a cost-free method. Any ideas? |

| 1422942 | 2016-07-11 09:45:00 | If you save them to your android account they are just there when you log into it with a new phone, better even than the SIM. If that was the case all he'd have to do is use the same account details on the new phone. If the only copy is in the memory of a dead phone then they are effectively gone. To extract them you'd have to dismantle the phone and extract the internal memory chip and then install it in another device. Probably not a possibility in reality. |
