| 1422671 | 2016-07-04 22:39:00 | Hi guys. This morning my lappy has a message to Activate Windows. Lappy is just over a year old and had win 8.1, I think and last November our computer guy upgraded to windows 10 Pro. Using Keyfinder it tells me my registration info, so whats windows problem? If I goto settings, Update security and click on activate it says something about Unable to reach your companies activation service. No idea what that means. Any ideas what to do, about this? Ian. PS I emailed my computer guy, 1st thing this morning and received an automatic reply thats he's out and about. |

| 1422672 | 2016-07-04 23:15:00 | It that the exact Error message, ( Unable to reach your companies activation service.) and what error codes if any ? That sounds a little like a KMS activation error. If W8.1 was upgraded to W10 then your Product key should be the generic VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T. Which is the default key W10 Pro uses. It can also be caused by hardware changing and deactivating. Or possibly a corruption someplace. |

I did a reboot and error message gone off screen, but when I goto settings update and security error message still there. Error code something like oxcoo4fo74, O could be 0, not sure. |

| 1422677 | 2016-07-05 00:25:00 | I tried to download "KMSpico Install" but Malwarebytes Anti-Malware don't like it...That's because Programs like KMSpico are programs that illegally fake/activate genuine KMS keys. Under normal circumstances, a KMS key / Computer "phones home" to a Legal KMS server, and checks for a active license then activates. The genuine keys ( as I posted before) are doing just that - Its really a type of KMS key, tied to your computers hardware, it's capable of checking to make sure its all legit. As long as your original 8.1 was legit and the person who upgraded toW10 for you did it legally, then there shouldn't be a problem. Real bad move to use illegal activation due to some software corruption. A repair install can generally fix the problem or other fixes can be tried. BUT as mentioned earlier if any hardware has been changed that also can cause W10 to deactivate. Also a Bit hard to tell without the actual PC. Theres a couple of things you can do: 1. Type in (or copy paste) the keys that's on your key finder into google - if it shows up as a KMS key then someones been a bit naughty ;) 2. You can also right click Start /Run type in Slui 3 Then type in the legit W8.1 key if you had one. If you did a search for the key I posted earlier you'll see its the default W10 Pro. |
