| 1422342 | 2016-06-24 07:36:00 | Hi all. Is there a "one click dead easy" way of changing Windows Live Mail to Outlook.com? Thanks. PJ |

From the end of June I think it said you could no longer use Windows Live Mail as it would not be supported. I was not affected by it but my wife was and also a friend. The alternative is to either log into Outlook.com on the web or use another application. |

What happens to all the folders in 2012? PJ |

PJ They aren't making thing Difficult, all the previous versions of Microsoft mail, what ever they were called, hotmail, live are now all outlook regardless. The Windows live mail program is now outdated. Microsoft are altering the mail to align with the plans with W10 and the future, it was decided not to upgrade an old program (windows live mail - hence look at its date 2012). If you are using a different email provider , Eg: spark, vodafone etc, things will carry on as normal. Only accounts with outlook.com will stop working, you will still be able to open the mail, all your mails will be there, your contacts , just you wont be able to send /receive. You will have to either use a different mail client ( like outlook) or use the web based mail from a browser or the W10 Mail App. |

Had issues this week with wifes Outlook 2016 and calenders. Some how when I went on line her calender time zone had changed from NZ to PST. Changing back fixed it on line but not in Outlook. Had to delete the account in Outlook 2016 and it came back as normal aain but noticed that it was now connected as an Exchange account not active sync which should be way better. | paulw (1826) | ||
