1418795 2016-04-09 00:20:00 Oh dear and I guess we are supposed to think that six or so wealthy Chinese businessmen give away large sums of money no strings attached.

Give the Chinese credit, they are good businessmen and don't just part with large sums of money without there being value. ;)

Interesting Key & Co don't want to talk about it! :D

1418796 2016-04-09 01:30:00 They don't record anything on tape these days and have not done so for quite a few years. It's a very outmoded system of recording. These days it's all digital on small mp3 recorders which, in many cases, can fit in the palm of your hand. Roscoe (6288)

1418798 2016-04-09 22:46:00 Ken won't like the reference, but the cheek of inviting foreign types to help change the NZ flag.

I have a sick bag to hand for such revelations.

Aww please you guys. I am not a National sycophant. Your suggestion that I am, made me think back to the 16/17? elections that I have been eligible to vote. Probably 5 times Labour, Social Credit 1, Bob Jones 1 and Winnie 3. Jones, Socred and Winnie as protests and Labour because of the leader.

That makes it less Nat votes than I previously thought.

I find the most political opinion depends on what has been done for you. In all honesty, if the Nats gave all pensioners an extra $50/fortnight and reduced the tax on pensioners investment savings most of the pensioners would think that John Key is a great guy. And don't tell me I am wrong on this. :) Remember the hate for the Labour Party when Nordmeyer put up tobacco and alcohol tax. I also these days hear muttering from the lower socio-economic folk I talk to on my job. I constantly hear about "...that effing ar***ole John Key!! He cut my benefit because I haven't been going to EIT for that stupid course they made me sign up to"

Always two ways of looking at things. I am not always right, nor are you. :)

Pity it always comes down to the best of a bad lot.

Having to be all things to all men attracts nincompoops.
