| 1419347 | 2016-04-20 02:26:00 | a big part of the transport/traffic issues in Auckland is how much the place sprawls. Nah it's the fact that there are too many people. :-) |

| 1419349 | 2016-04-20 03:51:00 | Good question Ken but I hope they would not have served say an Amoeba wanting beer, they did have standards at the Rat Trap Upper Takaka. The standards at the Rat Trap were low enough to allegedly allow one of the couple who ran it to burn it down when angry with the other member of the couple. It has never been rebuilt. don-donovan.blogspot.co.nz |

| 1419351 | 2016-04-21 08:31:00 | Haven't been there since I had my horse up in paddocks near the base. Had to go along a detour up Whenuapai today so cruised along a bit until I got there. Thought I'd come out the back way on the way to North Shore but it's a dead end now. Anyway, it's horrifying. Miles and miles and miles of this stuff all along the main rd There's side roads now too, I looked down them as I went along, just more of the same. Step out your front door directly onto the footpath, right on the main rd. With traffic lights outside your window. And traffic. Couldn't see a normal house and section anywhere, not even like my wee crosslease thing. And I thought this crosslease business was bad. And here I was picking on lakewoodladys daughters place. It's awesome palatial grounds in comparison. It was actually depressing to look at. You'd get a bunch of them, then a few shops - cafe, hairdresser, that sort of thing, then a whole heap more. Most didn't have spaces out front, a few did. LIke a metered parking space you'd see in a shopping area, but not metered, I guess for the lucky ones who can put a car somewhere. 71177118 And they're not even cheap!! $675,000 - $875,000!! No wonder so many Aucklanders are running away. I been across the estuary from Hobsonville around Albany - and Albany Heights, kind of a Villa gated community. Very nice, upmarket. With the stadium and shopping center almost a mini hub city.. |
