| 633485 | 2008-01-24 05:15:00 | I am new to the whole upgrading thing and want to know if i can put faster memory (e.g DDR-SDRAM 400) in a motherboard that says it is made for DDR-SDRAM 266\333. Appreciate the help |

| 633486 | 2008-01-24 05:36:00 | You maybe able to use it. But it will go down to 333/266 speed. It wont run at DDR 400 speed. |

I didnt know it didnt support DDR 400, because I brought it for $70 lol. And it came as is (no box or anything else but the mobo). It wasnt until I downloaded the manual, I found out. Its running 2 DDR 400 simms, dual channel. But its only running at 266 fsb (because its only got a 533 fsb CPU). Altho it can run at 800 (by overclocking). |
