| 634049 | 2008-01-31 06:18:00 | If you just want to browse the forum, Thomas go here (forums.pcworld.co.nz) it's really fast and doesn't hang Although it isn't quite as pretty, and you don't can't reply to posts it's a good way to read the forum if you are on a limited size monitor The archives are way faster, however by default they show the posts in post order beginning with post one (ever wonder why some people reply to an ancient post) So normally you need to click on the PDA link in the top right corner of the archives However if you follow the link i provided you won't see the PDA option as I have included the PDA option in the link |

| 634050 | 2008-02-05 22:59:00 | We have no problem with people pointing out when the forum loads slowly. The slow-down over the past week has been caused by the third-party company that serves our ads, Accipter. Accipter has still not been able to explain the problem. We have now turned off ads on Press F1 while we wait for the problem to be resolved. Believe me, it's driven us around the bend too. Messages of complaint on this forum, and via PMs, have helped us persuade the powers that be to temporarily suspend ads, so that's a good thing. Nice Chris.....thanks :thumbs: Makes a HUGE difference. |
