303111 2004-12-16 07:33:00 i think its cool.... just like linuxquestions and webdevelopers and stuff.... only easier.... less clutered than them.

One thing tho...make the band at the top like it used to be... put that ad in the white and the pressf1 and pcworld logos in the red and make them slightly bigger... or keep them the same size....

Yeah... that'd pretty much make it perfect...:D:D:D:D

Alas, if you have lengthy binary signatures, the side will go past the middle

303115 2004-12-16 08:08:00 I also prefer the layout as suggested by Zygar, Do we have the option of selecting different style sets/schemes?
I agree - I prefer the layout suggested by Zygar, with the poster info at the left of each post. It makes it a lot easier to follow what's being said I feel.

I'v turned them off, as I think they were just distracting, found myself reading the same ones over and over again.

They may be usefull to keep your system specs in, so anyone asking for help dosent have to be asked 20 questions just to find out what they have.

303117 2004-12-16 13:21:00 Hey thats cool dont have to use font tags :o Rob99 (151)
303118 2004-12-16 19:44:00 The jury is still out but I have to admit that the old forum was quicker to read due to its simplicity and less clutter. It's going to take a few days to get the hang of this one, particularly in sorting out which threads/posts I have read. I agree about the need to increase number of posts per page as I haven't yet figured out how to go straight to the first unread post in a thread several pages long. FoxyMX (5)
303119 2004-12-16 20:20:00 I like the design and there are lots of new cool features (I'm still exploring all the new features). I really like the message summaries that appear when you hold the mouse over the thread and the ability to see who's online at the moment.

It was a bit slow on the first visit but now I'm not noticing any slow down. Had a few teething problems getting my account activated but once I changed my email address I got activated straight away.

The threads with new posts since your last visit are displayed in bold.

Personallly I'm liking the new gear more and more, oodles of bells and whistles and nice touches.

And the layout looks much better when i have images enabled, sadly not something i can enjoy at work.
