| 303588 | 2005-02-26 06:32:00 | Windows have it's place in the IT world. In MHO the only role it's good for is as a desktop luser system. As a Server *nix would be my only choice. I use it because I have to, not because I want to. (MS Office thingies forces me) But it is a lot more stable than the older versions were, at least no more Blue Screens of Death, just blank Screens of Desktop Crashing. And at least it is a LOT better than MS Office, that application absolutely sucks. |

Seems a little like christianity having Anglican, Catholic, Methodist, Protestant etc. We all agree we are christians but people disagree as to the principles maybe. WinXP works for me. And freez quite regularly, the only thing good about that is when I ctrl+alt+del and end the froze program then windows is good to go. I must say XP recovers much better then the older versions of windows, espicaly from explorer crashess, sometimes moving my mouse to the start menu results in a crash, but XP never seems to go down, and manages to recover itself. |
