| 633108 | 2008-01-23 09:00:00 | Hi, I'm trying to synchronize a few files between: a) my work PC b) my PDA (pocket PC, Windows Mobile 5), and c) my home PC. I'm using ActiveSync 4.5.0 but it is really retarded software. It only wants to syncronise files between the My Documents folder on my PDA and some special folder that it created on my desktop. Not only that but it syncronises everything in that folder. Now at no point in my life have I ever wanted to store my files in "My Documents". It is the most retarded thing in Windows that I know of. As soon as your OS crashes and you have to reinstall, it just gets deleted and you've lost all your files. Plus there's always empty unused directories that you don't want in there. I want to syncronise a few key files in these directories: Work PC: C:\Stuff\ PDA: \Storage Card\Stuff\ Home PC: D:\Stuff\ So effectively in those directories in all devices they will have the same information. And if I update a file on one of them, and syncronise with the other device it will update that device with the latest copy. How do I accomplish this? You'd think M$ would have done this already but they love for everyone to use their My Documents rubbish. Thanks :) |
