2004-12-16 20:44:00 | I'm using the wysiwyg editor for posts, and when I started yesterday I could choose my smiley from the drop-down menu and it would pop into place and behave itself. When I tried today, all I get in the final post is a link to a smiley gif. Here, I'll show ya: pressf1.pcworld.co.nz (it shows up as the confused smiley in the post editor) Is this a feature that's just recently been disabled?

2004-12-16 20:48:00 | I can still use the text-smilies to generate them ok, but it's a whole lot quicker and easier to remember in most cases just to grab them from the drop-down. Any ideas?

2004-12-16 20:50:00 | It might have something to do with Mary saying they would introduce new emoticons today. I use the simple editor (no dropdown box for me), but could see emoticons as images yesterday - posts made today that contain emoticons are displaying a link to the image instead of the image (posts from yesterday still display the actual emoticon). Test:

2004-12-16 22:15:00 | Mine don't even work in the preview: pressf1.pcworld.co.nz and then in the edit window on the preview page, it's changed to the link rather than the img. Don't want to have to remember all the text codes for them

2004-12-16 22:40:00 | hi guys, it just seems to be a problem with the wysiwyg editor, you can change back to the "standard" editor in your profile and the smilies work.. the wysiwyg editor inserts img tags to display the smilies, and of course we have this feature disabled. i'll have a look at this and see if i can fix it
