635355 2008-01-30 05:46:00 hey there. i'm trying to install a copy of office 2003 on my laptop. during install, it says missing .dll file and stops install. disk is scratched. was wondering if i could try xcopy of disk, and installing from hard drive, instead? anyone know any good tutorials on this somewhere? thanx.. starrekin61 (10116)
635356 2008-01-30 06:14:00 If its that scratched, it is unlikely to copy.
I assuming you have given the CD a good clean
If you have a valid license # /COA borrow or beg someone elses copy and install using your own license.
Failing that and if you have a valid license # /COA
M$oft will supply a new disk but at some cost to you.
Goodluck
