| 307449 | 2004-12-25 19:20:00 | Being an ex employee at retail store it is hard to blame anyone at store level. These prices are normally kept away from them as well for obvious reasons. Fact of life really, electronics always get cheaper. It should be expected. It is always harder to accept when it gets cheaper the day after you buy. |

| 307452 | 2004-12-25 21:03:00 | Personally I would spend that amount on an adsl router/modem, But that would be to get a fully featured quality unit, Both of the 2 I currently use cost around that amount, My prior units didn't ,and they were crapola. As for Jack, Tough, You could have made an informed purchase, Instead your run off to the bright lights of Harvey Normans and paid too much for crap, They rely on people exactly like you...the mindless consumer. |

Firstly Belkin modems are not crap. They are top quality. Secondly I am more than satisfied with it's performance. And that is what matters. According to adverts. 256 broadband should be up to six times faster than dial up. I am over seven times faster while downloading. For web browsing pages load almost instantaniously. (No time to light a smoke.) A bit of searching revealed that $176 is about the average price. Some are advertising over $200. All I am complaining about is the huge price reduction two days after I bought it. It will probably go up again tomorrow. Jack :D |
