308044 2005-01-01 07:14:00 I shouldn't really download anything, don't want to blow my 10GB. george12 (7)

Reason for torrent link removal:
If you look at Rockstar's page, it quite clearly says:

"PLEASE NOTE that while this game may be downloaded for free by all who register by filling out the form on this page, it is NOT freeware and may not be mirrored or duplicated by any third parties without express written consent from Rockstar Games . "

At the moment if anyone googles for "grand theft auto 2 free torrent download", this PressF1 thread is the 3rd hit . I don't think it is appropriate for IDG to have a torrent link for a game to which no consent was given from Rockstar .

For all to enjoy .

308047 2005-01-01 10:33:00 The torrent?

27.2 KB

The actual download?

344.7MB

We've had 6 downloads so far of it according to stats. Not that it matters at all...

308050 2005-01-02 06:28:00 Download Azureus, just search Google for it, easy to find.

Then you open the small .torrent file with it, and you get GTA2 :)

Tip: For faster download speed, if you are behind a router, foward port 6681 and 6969.

Cheers

308051 2005-01-03 03:42:00 is that azureus any good even though i am on dial up? can you pause and resume? Prescott (11)
308052 2005-01-03 04:16:00 torrent clients work by uploading at the same time as downloading, when i tried to use them on dialup it took hours to get started, and as soon as others started to source the file from me my download came to a standstill.... Metla (12)
308053 2005-01-03 05:42:00 What? That's not how it's meant to work.

When others get it from you, that's when it speeds up ... usually, never tried it on dialup though.
