635126 2008-02-08 19:23:00 You cant access Hotmail accounts through OE or whatever until you've either paid or you have a REALLY old account with them. Trust me, I've tried to get it to work.

Just to hijack the thread a bit... beeswax: you can use Outlook with the "Outlook Connector" from Microsoft, and use it to download mail from Hotmail/Live Mail. I've been using it for a few months now, and it is quite good.

Do I have to download (or buy from MS) 'Outlook Connector' or it is built-in? If it is built-in, how do I access from Outlook?

Cheers

www.microsoft.com

It is free, and installs itself into Outlook. It works seamlessly, and adds an extra "Outlook Connector" menu to Outlook.

635129 2008-02-08 20:47:00 Bump for a new problem.
Tried to view laptop over tv with the S-Video port and a S-video converter type plug.
Tryed playing with all the display settings and the button to switch screens etc. But will only keep saying 'LCD', then 'LCD' again and never gets to S-video output.
What is the trick to this?

I've found sometimes I need to reboot my laptop in order for it to detect that the S-Video connector has been plugged in. Other times, I just need to unplug and replug it to make it auto-detect.

Since you have had driver issues in the past, do you know whether you have the appropriate driver to provide S-Video support - i.e. in the ATI config utility, does it have something like a "TV" or "AV" option?

Got the 'Catalyst Control Center' Up and running .
Found the second monitor ('tv' in their words) options and what not .
Set it to 'Clone' the LCD . Set to Pal format etc .
Do apply and all that jumbo .
Asks if keep these settings, Sure .
Still No display on The television . . .

I would kind of like it to just work off the display function button thing (FN+F8)
Fn+F7 can toggle the LCD off and on . But never chooses any other output .

What drivers would I be looking at finding?

PS . The TV is on and plugged in . on right channel etc .

635132 2008-02-09 06:42:00 So after updating with the ATI Drivers off of Asus's website.
I get stuck in low resolution and colour mode.
It seems the driver is dated in 06 sometime and the previous drivers dated '07, which is what Windows picks up again when you choose to search for new drivers.
Still no joy getting the Output to work also.

635133 2008-02-09 07:12:00 Also, ATI's website does not have any drivers for The mobility x2300...
wtf...
