634972 2008-01-30 10:03:00 Where are the minidump files? I can have a look at them but there's no guarantee of finding anything useful in them. Agent_24 (57)
634973 2008-01-30 10:07:00 See if you can borrow another video card and try that, if that works, you could probably find a faster new card for not many dollars

634975 2008-01-31 01:26:00 Yes, but it there still seems to be an error when I revert right back to the oldest available drivers for my card.

I'll see if I can borrow a card - then I'll post back my results.

Grr - still can't post attachments, and it just shows alot of mumbo when I open them in wordpad, thanks for the offers and help.

the minidump files need to be opened with a program designed for viewing them. I've sent you a PM with my email if you want to send them and I'll see if there's anything useful in them if you like

634978 2008-01-31 06:18:00 I've had a quick look, both seem to point to the problem being caused by the file "axwskbus.sys"

I don't have this file myself, but it should be in "C:\Windows\System32\Drivers" so if you can find it, the file properties may tell you what it does, and maybe this will help find what's going wrong

634979 2008-01-31 07:06:00 actually, edit that last post. seemed I opened the same file twice for some stupid reason. turns out one points to axwskbus.sys, the other to classpnp.sys.

have you tried running memtest? (www.memtest.org)
