2004-12-26 00:05:00 | I have to say, put 'crap' after virtually any brand name into Google and you will get pages of dissatified people, so I would respectfully suggest that sort of search does not have much value :eek: | Terry Porritt (14) | |

2004-12-26 05:36:00 | Do whatever you like Jack -but I agree with metla. How would you know they're top quality if it's the first ADSL modem you've brought. Since when did Belkein become a specialist in modem making? They're just supermarket modems, similar to HP and the likes (but then you have a HP don't you ;)) As for the price, would you rather pay $500 for a $50 item or $100 for an $80 item?

I rest my case. |

2004-12-26 05:56:00 | Put asus and crap into google and read the results. I rest my case. Yeah, loaded with stuff about how awful Asus is. Not my personal opinion of course. But what's your point? Nearly any manufacturer can be shown as crap like this.

2004-12-26 06:04:00 | George, Did you even bother to read or scan through the results? No? Obviously not. A google of Asus and crap brings up reults were people use the 2 words in the same sentance. A search fro Belkin and crap beings up 10 000 reults were people call the product card. See the difference?
Metla (12) | ||
2004-12-26 07:05:00 | Well, I did scan through the results actually. Although I do not dispute that Belkin is MORE crap than Asus, however crap or not either are, I can see very easily that results you are speaking of are there for both. "Forum - Why Asus sucks" "Asus drivers is no good" "clean off the asus crap" Admittedly these results are not as common, nor as matching..... But the point remains... Sort of ;)

2004-12-26 07:18:00 | I fail to see how anyone who has not owned a product can have an opinion of it. Or do you just believe everything you read? I had never heard of Belkin before, but it was the best immediately available in Rotorua. The average price seems to be between $170 and $206 . So I didn't pay over the odds. I merely had a grizzle because it went on sale two days after I bought it. It works well and I am satisfied with it. Enough said. Just wondering what Metla uses. Probably a Lucent. Jack :angry

2004-12-26 07:21:00 | Well I think you guys are a bit tough. All Jack, as a longstanding member is saying to his forum buddies is "what a buggar". And I agree. Jack, you have my sympathy. I hate it when that happens. :stare: | Winston001 (3612) | |
2004-12-26 07:34:00 | Thank you Winston001. And I thought no one understood me. Jack :o
