636067 2008-02-01 00:30:00 Hi,

I just read in the latest PC Wrold magazine about one free Photo Recovery
Software Art Plus. Which has some limitations specially it is very slow.

Is there any other free Photo Recovery Software there in the market which
is better than this?

Thanks,

Get Zero Assumption Digital Image Recovery. I got this at

www.z-a-recovery.com

and downloaded ZAR 8.3 . It recovered 77 files from a 1GB SD card which Windows Explorer showed as empty, both files types .jpg and .mov. I set it to recover files not already deleted.

I have since done it again with an SD card accidently wiped by a grandson.

636072 2008-02-22 10:41:00 Recuva (http://www.recuva.com/) (from the guys that made Ccleaner) is pretty good too; used it several times with my PSP's pro duo memory card after accidentally formatting it. jason_f90 (3544)
636073 2008-08-18 15:07:00 Hi!. I had a bad experience when I lost my photos and tried freeware stuff. Does free software only read or also writes the memory card of my photo camera?, which may unconsciously "overwrite" your lost photos. I found the "readonly" solution in www.photoincident.com/photorecovery/ that recovered my lost photos after my reseach over the internet. It showed me a preview of the lost photos on their web page! I am not a technical person, so I tried it and for just a few euros I could recover almost all my lost photos. No more struggling with freeware, I prefer paying a few amount. My mistake was continuing taking photos with the camera, as I said before. So lesson learn, this is my advice and experience. sony2008a (13346)
