635878 2008-01-31 06:38:00 In my documents is the folder called Sharing Folders,in it
there are a couple of document,which I have deleted a dozen times,how do I get rid of whole thing.

I have deleted both the docs and the folder,to no avail.

Ya I use messenger,can I get rid of it?

You'll have to uninstall Messenger to delete those folders permanently.

Those that have installed the latest version of MSN Messenger, or Windows Live Messenger as it is now called, have probably noticed that it installs a link in My Computer called 'My Sharing Folders'.
If, like me, you're not interested in this feature of WLM, or you just don't like the way it dumps a shortcut under My Computer, you can remove it by unregistering the Messenger File Sharing Shell Extensions dll.
do this by going to start > run, and typing in:

CODE
regsvr32 -u -s "C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\fsshext.dll"

So far it's working,thanks Bees,with the likes of you and others on here,it would be hard to defeat the collective mind.

Although I will agree Billy T sometimes complicates things.:rolleyes:

Oh dear,its back again.
Put that info in to run and it stays there,if it's wrong it usually says so,does it not?
