| 635847 | 2008-01-31 05:57:00 | Can anyone help me with the extention, wmv.avi wmv will open but wont play it. Have checked for .avi on these forums but no mention. I have wm player 10 on XP service pack 2 thanks weevies. |

| 635848 | 2008-01-31 06:09:00 | Try VCL Player - www.videolan.org Even though AVI is normally fairly standard it depends on what codec was used when creating it. You could try changing the avi extension to wmv and see it Media Player will play it then. It does seem a strange name for an avi file having wmv in it's name. |
