| 635828 | 2008-01-31 03:14:00 | Effectively looking at the difference between an Asus M2N-E SLI and just M2N SLI boards. the E has the 500 and the other has the 560 Apart from an apparent one extra PCI-E link on the 500 (from nvidia's website), there seems to be no difference between the 500 and the 560, and those two boards, BUT there must be something to warrant the number difference. I take it the 560 is faster/newer in some way? |

| 635831 | 2008-01-31 04:41:00 | Well, you have established the difference then, the extra link......is this for an upgrade or new build? | SolMiester (139) | ||
| 635832 | 2008-01-31 04:58:00 | It's for an upgrade, but not mine: someone who wants to upgrade from an M2N4-SLI to one of the aforementioned boards I was trying to find if there is a useful difference between the 500 and 560 to justify the purchase of one over the other, but other than support for FX CPU on one and the extra link on the other - they seem identical. I just would have thought the 560 to be faster/better in more than just FX support seeing as it's the bigger number |
