| 635587 | 2008-01-30 19:43:00 | Hi there Ive been using MS Frontpage to create webpages etc for the past 2-3yrs now, but yesterday I struck a problem thats got me beat. Im unable to get File / Publish Site to work. I briefly get the Local & Remote folder window to open, then a second later Im presented with the Remote Web Site Properties box, the address line is correct, but clicking Ok brings up another box suggesting the Server is not responding etc... I phoned Webbase but they can find no fault at their end. Incidently, this same fault occurs with another Website I look after from the PC. Finally, I managed to successfully update the website Server using Filezilla, but thats a short term fix as soon I will have webpages faulting with hit counters not working, Form Handlers failing etc. So, Im stuck as to why I cant Publish Site with Frontpage (on this and a 2nd PC on the home LAN) yet have no trouble with Filezilla. Thanks John in Mosgiel. |

Maybe you have just added script's (or later versions) that are not supported by the server? Or a file that's over the upload limit (if that applies)... Once I did massive changes to my site by added shared borders, extra tables, amazon codes, etc, and I got constant upload errors, but after a few hours it came right after I did a full update - over writing the entire site on the host; I think I may have initially corrupted or strained the FP server extensions... |
