I forgot my USB flash drive was still in a computer when I formatted the C: Drive and reinstalled Windows. :blush: Now, no matter what computer I plug it into it says it is not formatted. So I thought “Bugger” I’ll format it then and put back all the programmes that were on it. No go, Message> Windows was unable to complete the format! The Disk in E: cannot be formatted. What goes on here? It’s recognised OK |

Once I got my question sorted on Google I found literally hundreds had suffered the same fate . :dogeye: I lost everything off it but some suggest that there are programmes available that MAY recover the data . The trick is to go to Control Panel – Admin tools – Computer Management – Disc Management . There you can see your drive so you right click and re-partition and low level format . After that you can High Level format . Worked for me . :thumbs: Aren’t backups wonderful? :) (what I don’t understand is what the hell happened?) :confused: |
