| 636900 | 2008-02-03 03:39:00 | Just finished reinstalling XP Pro. Never been able to figure out how to save a copy of my message rules from Explorer Express. Any suggestions out there? Cheers, Ken |

I've never used it myself, but it looks like it should work ok :) | davehartley (3487) | ||

Cheers, Ken There is no simple way to export / import the actual rules on Outlook express. What you have to do is move the related reg keys ( dangerous if you dont know what you are doing) Heres How (free-backup.info) Moving items like the Mail, Address book and Account is easy enough and several ways to do it. Microsoft tell you How to back up (support.microsoft.com) the rules, but they must go backin the same PC / Install. |

| 636904 | 2008-02-04 08:05:00 | Sorry Guys/Guyesses, I meant Outlook Express. Thanks Dave, copied off the item (17 pages) to read at my leisure over a cup of coffee. Thanks Wainuitech. Done the same. Simply a pain to remember them when I want to reinstall them. Could write them down as a Word file I guess, then I have a reference. Sometimes the old ways are still the most efficient. Cheers, Ken |
