You may be able to find a second hand one off TradeMe etc. I used to use a Dynalink 1456VQE. If you are unsure, a quick google of the make/model number and Linux support will help. For ADSL any external ethernet (not USB) modem will be fine. :) |

The model I quoted earlier has been discontinued by Dynalink, but I see their replacement model DY56EXT3 (www.dynalink.co.nz) will also be suitable.
