| 312721 | 2005-01-10 06:41:00 | Does anybody know of a free video feed for the World XI vs Asia XI cricket match that is on right now? I have one, but its not a great feed (spends more time buffering than not). It should be on free-to-air tv. Mike. |

| 312723 | 2005-01-11 06:21:00 | I thought the purpose was to raise money. Why should it be "Free To Air" Because it is a charity event - free-to-air means that I might then have money to donate to the charity. If I were to have watched it on Sky, I would have had to pay Sky for the game, but how much of that money would have gone to the tsunami victims etc.? I would say very little, if any. Look at it this way - those big events in Auckland (and other places) every year like Christmas in the Park and Symphony under the Stars etc. are free events which raise a lot of money through the donations of the people who attend. The idea of the cricket match was so that the spectators, both at the venue and at home, might donate to the Tsunami relief funds, but how can we do that if we can't even watch the game? Sure I can donate without the game, but events like these raise extra money that maybe wouldn't have been donated otherwise. Mike. |

| 312727 | 2005-01-11 11:51:00 | To be honest the people who negotiate TV rights are not interested in the individual. They are more interested in the potential 100 million in India. | Raikyn (6293) | ||
