| 637388 | 2008-02-05 03:58:00 | Both are good, I've never had any probs with Xnet (only when they've had outages). But thats normal with most ISP's. I would check your connections at home (going to the router etc, if you've got a router). Is it connected with USB (which may explain it), or ethernet? Or if the exchange is the prob, changing ISP (and if it uses the same exchange), somehow I dont think it'll make any diff. YEa we just brought a brand new modem, and it connected through ethernet. |

I've never had any outages with them and the speeds are amazing (compared to Xtra) oh, and for your cutting out problem, what kind of router do you have? You can try flashing it if it was a Telecom supplied one to get rid of their crappy settings? on it. OMG..... THis is mine- www.speedtest.net (http://www.speedtest.net) |

| 637390 | 2008-02-05 04:06:00 | There's no way to say when you change ISP you'll get speeds like mine, but the speeds you were getting were pretty much the same as what I was getting with Xtra. | --Wolf-- (128) | ||
| 637391 | 2008-02-05 04:22:00 | I should point out that .017 eurocents is about 0.034 NZ cents per minute which means you can talk for 10 minutes for .34cents NZ!!!!!! show me a toll provider in NZ who charges anywhere near that price - even for their specials. I have tried the VOIP and many places say its Crap. Personally I hated the disconnection and lag- so do my vendors, then ended up in calling back as normal. Sometimes its fine other times if I could have thrown it out the window I would have. Any way I claim it as a business expense. AFAIK Xnet also don't offer Cable TV. And before you mention Sky We have that as well. There are several programs the Mrs Watches that Sky cant ( or wont) provide. Al I'm saying if a person has the wrong / outdated plan then they will get charged unfairly. |
