312615 2005-01-12 23:44:00 It's coming to that time of year when new Uni students are wanting PCs .

T&E is ok if you are in Wellington, or a city centre, but Upper Hutt back blocks causes problems for carless students .

Then there is the pain of people coming to your house, they may be casing the joint . An outside shed or garage is better .

Also a pain are those who ring and say hold the item for them, they will be coming in an hour, and that's the last you hear from them, having lost potential sales in the meantime .

312617 2005-01-12 23:59:00 I'm used to customers trampling through the house, and so is my mum ;).

Yeah, I know TradeMe is better - it's just is it worth $90 instantly?

312618 2005-01-13 00:04:00 Interesting....

Not very popular though, so there wouldn't be many buyers.

Almost every auction has no bids :(

312619 2005-01-13 00:52:00 George, do your darndest to find out why and under what Terms Of Use they cancelled your sales and then, appraently, misappropriated your money in the form of the fees . If you were doing something naughty, tough, but if you followed the rules and this has happened you should not be sitting on it and avoiding them because it will cost you $90-

If you genuinly feel you have been hard done by (as you suggest by your scamme comment), don't bend over, stand up and face them, politely of course .

If you want somewhere to store a pallet or two, get in touch, I've got a 100m2 or 3 spare in the Hutt .

312620 2005-01-13 05:10:00 I don't suppose any one knows if I can email a bid in,
and whether they (turners) can arrange shipping and what they chargeIf you are interested in PC/IT auctions, and Trademe is not quite your scene, there are regular online auctions held here (www.graysonline.co.nz). They sell lots of ex-lease and liquidation stuff etc. They are based in Auckland, and do courier deliveries. Don't forget to check out their buyer notes (www.graysonline.co.nz). :)

312621 2005-01-14 06:27:00 Yes i've looked at Grays before, it's just the prices "whetu" mentioned brought them into my budget. Morgenmuffel (187)
