2008-02-04 05:58:00 | The older models come with cds (ie shuffle 1st gen) but the newer ones don't. All that was on them was iTunes I think. But yeah, just get a friend to put it on cd for you.

2008-02-04 22:07:00 | Got it from parallel imported and i got itunes but i cant download the firmware update to restore the ipod to windows format cause i only got dial up at home and the file is about 50 mb and it is not on apples web site so you can only get it through iTunes | nedkelly (9059) | |
2008-02-04 22:15:00 | A firmware update does not have to come through iTunes. It has to be applied through iTunes, but do some searching, and there will be torrents or other sites with the file. Then find videos on YouTube on how to use the file through itunes.

2008-02-04 22:27:00 | Dont get firmware update thru torrents. You dont know WHAT's in them. It may kill it completely. Whats not on the apple site?? The firmware update?? I've got a Nano update here (for some version of the Nano, not mine, I got it for someone else). Its 16.8 mb. Theyre here (www.apple.com)

2008-02-04 22:57:00 | You could just shove the net on overnight. That's what I used to do. Downloading game demos etc. I'd sit there for hours in anticipation, checking up on the download status (I was 14... nothing better to do, didn't believe in homework/getting a life). No reason why you couldn't do the same. Otherwise you could read back through this thread and actually follow our advice, but thats up to you. Do you have a friend with broadband? If so, get them to download it for you. But if you don't want to you could just keep posting here... It is dumb though, how things don't come with cd's these days. They could just put them on those tiny single's-size cd's you see around. Or include it on the ipods HDD. But that's just a little too clever methinks. | Thebananamonkey (7741) | |
