2005-01-08 23:51:00 | And in any case, people like ninja could run through far more than 10GB and not even have a single byte of that related to P2P traffic. There are several of us in the office with complete linux distribution upgrades in our crontabs which run first thing every morning. Fun living on the edge - but sure chews some b/w.

2005-01-09 00:10:00 | Full speed jetstream and a six computer network, 1GB cap. Four are online occasionally each day for updates and some surfing/downloads, two are online 12-14 hours per day, 7 days per week. Average usage over the last 12 months was 725MB per month, max in any month was 950MB. Cheers Billy 8-{)

2005-01-09 06:31:00 | 300 'n' something last month. Then again that's dial-up :annoyed: Currently downloading Windows ME (Replacement for the munched CD Dads works IT person let me keep) which is 409mb, so It'll take a while but should get me ahead in the little "who can use the most bandwidth" race I've got going ;)

2005-01-09 10:23:00 | Why pay Microsoft at all? The way I interpreted Edward's comment is that he has a valid CD key, but the CD is now useless to use as installation media. Downloading Windows ME isn't illegal, it's using it against the terms of the EULA that is. So if you download an ISO of the ME CD, but install it using a legitimate CD key that you "own", you've done nothing wrong. Enough with my technical arguing, I say.

2005-01-09 23:01:00 | Sorry guys, I just have to ask: What exactly are you downloading that can run you to 10GB + over a month? I'm not looking for a legal vs illegal argument either, I just can't see what anybody could need or use on a monthly basis that uses that much data. I did think about Linux distros, patches and upgrades etc, but once you have them on CD or DVD you don't really need to download again quite that soon, or do you? Anybody care to enlighten me? Cheers Billy 8-{)
