638074 2008-02-06 20:22:00 Hi all,
I'm fixing to buy a ASUS NVIDIA GEFORCE EXTREME N8800GT, from www.eoneonline.co.nz. I just would like to know does anynoe have any past experiance with how well they are as a company, with good customer service etc.

Here's the link for the product: www.eoneonline.co.nz

638075 2008-02-06 20:43:00 All online shops are much the same, and they will gladly sell you whatever you like - after sales service and RMA can be another matter, but overall most are fine.

I've bought a lot of things from a lot of shops and have yet to have a major problem.

Worst thing that happened to me was waiting several weeks for supercheappc to RMA my video card, but they did it eventually (I believe the delay may have been due to shipping to/from taiwan but I'm not sure)

638076 2008-02-06 21:52:00 Not used that before. PP.co.nz and ASCENT.co.nz are the ones pple have used lots. Cheapest may not be the best solution. These 2 also have free courier. There has some a number of e-shops that's been disregistered on pricespy.co.nz from complaints or being shady.

I've also use Digital Shop or sometimes called Software Shop for a expensive scanner and they were good.

638078 2008-02-07 07:33:00 I have singled out www.ascent.co.nz to buy my gfx card. Its like 20 dearer than the eoneonline.co.nz one, yet if its highly recommended and with free post I nothing to lose. breakdown conspiracy (12768)
638079 2008-02-07 09:36:00 Eone are not so great any more. Their shop is usually half empty. And you can wait a while before someone talks to you.

ORRRRR

They may not have what you want in stock. Happened to me four to five times already.

Good choice.

Have just ordered one of these myself. XXX version - higher core clock at 670Mhz and higher memroy clock at 1950Mhz.

Have ordered from Playtech several times with no problems.

Hard to compare to the 'overclocked' version you linked to as it doesn't state the specifications anywhere I can see.

638082 2008-02-09 07:58:00 Yep, good move to go with Ascent. After postage, the price will hardly be any different, and if it happens to die and you need to RMA it...well. You'll be thanking yourself.

Have bookmarked that link pctek gave, very useful.
