637924 2008-02-06 11:47:00 I have a sony PSP and i have 2 memory sticks for it a 1 gig and a 32 meg , my psp won't read the 1 gig and when i stcik it in the computer i get a I\O error , if i can get inside the card i can rebuild the PSP folder Structure but i need to get past the I\O error , any help ?

Motherboard: ASUS Echo 4
Processor: Intel 2.8 gig
Memory: 1 gig
OS:Windows XP Home Service Pack 2

It sounds as though the card might be buggered. If windows won't open it, really the only option left is to try with some form of Linux , a GParted Live CD (sourceforge.net) would be the easiest, and see if that will touch it.

I/O (Input/Output) errors are normally reasonably fatal with those cards.

If you want to give GParted a go and are not sure what to do, post again and someone will give you instructions.
